Birthdays!!!

We celebrated Stephen's and mom's birthdays over the course of two days this year. First, on their actual birthday, April 22nd, dad cooked dinner for all of us at the house. He made salmon - yummy! The next Saturday we celebrated with the Hansens (kathleen, david, sandy, stephen, ben, mom, dad, ashley, grandma annabelle, stephen, and I were all there) at our usual spot: El Toro. Angela's Shower Invitations

I just got these for Angela's Shower - I'm so excited! Aren't the adorable!!!

I am a little bummed that they have the yellow in them because the theme is going to be just pink and green with polka dots, but that's ok - they're still super cute! The preparations are in full swing ... I wouldn't say I'm overwhelmed ... but, I would say I'm drowning in thoughts of ribbons, curls, paper plates, table cloths, flowers ... yay!

Tiptoe Through the Tulips

This Saturday we took a trip to the Tulip Festival in Skagit Valley with Angela, Jon, Becca, and Jourdan. It was, well, a little uneventful ... we probably won't do it again, but we did have fun.

The boys would NOT stop complaining ... so we made them drive two hours to look at some flowers, big deal! They may not have liked where we went, but that didn't stop them from giggling like a couple of little girls the whole way there and back.

Open for Business

The new office officially opened today, Tuesday, April 8, 2008.

I was one of the very first patients at the new office - I brought donuts so everybody would like me ... and so they would have a very special first day :)
Stephen found a cavity ... I don't believe it - I think he's just trying to torture me :-o

My Husband, My Dentist, My Love

My husband is a dentist
And I love him so
He’s always hygiene conscious
Even when he’s on the go

When I go to bed at night
He tells me I should floss
And if I refuse to do it
All night he’ll turn and toss

He cares about my teeth
And my gums as well
He gave me special toothpaste
So my breath won’t smell

He is such a good dentist
And causes little to no pain
His patients all are satisfied
With no reasons to complain

He treats his patients special
Even calling them at night
After a tough dental procedure
To make sure they’re alright

At work he wears these glasses
They’re anything but sleek
They let him see real close up
But make him look a little like a geek

Despite the odd accessory
The girls will all agree
He is the hottest dentist
That they will ever see

I knew he’d be a great dentist
Even before he got his D.D.S.
Because he’s so kind and gentle
And never fails to impress

He’s my husband and my dentist
No one else could fill the role
I love him more than anything
With all my heart and soul

Carolin's Bon Voyage Party

Last night was Carolin's going away party. She's leaving for Maryland on Monday and I am so sad to see her go. We had such a blast at work, and I don't know what I'm going to do without my lunchtime shopping, celebrity gossiping, weekend story sharing, office chatting friend. We'll definitely be keeping in touch - Good luck Carolin!

We partied at Wenarto's until the wee hours of the morning drinking wine (lots of red wine, as you can see from our lips), eating amazing food (courtesy of wenarto), and making youtube videos. We made 10 videos!

Miguel and Celia stopped in for a while - Miguel graced us with an amazing opera song.




The salad was really hot!

Carolin and I came up with AMAZING choreography for one of Wenarto's videos ... seriously, it was inspired - lol!

Easter Weekend

This Easter was reminiscent of earlier times ... all the cousins were back together again! It's become so difficult to get us all in the same place at once - with Ashley in LA, Lori in Palm Springs, Lisa in Ellensburg - this weekend was really a treat.

Saturday morning, mom, Ashley and I went walking around Chambers Bay Golf Course. It was the first time I had been on the full walk - it's so beautiful down there. Mom showed off her walking skills ... we couldn't keep up with her!

On Saturday night, I had the girls over to the house. We played games and I serenaded everyone with my newly learned piano playing "skills" - Lori even danced to my playing (there IS a video of that - if I can get a hold of it I will post it)....
Easter morning we went to church at St. Theresa's and then to Linda's for breakfast. It was Linda's first holiday in the new house. It's such a nice house and way better for getting us all together. There's so much space! Plus, they're minutes away from my parents now.

It rained buckets on Easter ... literally, one step outside and you were drenched. After spending the morning with the Overbo's we braved the weather and drove down to Kelso to spend the evening with the Christians and the Hansens. Unfortunately, we forgot our camera, so we don't have any pictures, but we had a wonderful time.

Weekend with the Sainsburys

We had such a fun weekend when the Sainsburys came to town! They are officially the first guests to stay over in our house, and we hope they will come again soon. Here are some pictures of our trip to the Woodland Park Zoo...

Visiting the New Office

Renovations to the new office have been slowly progressing since September 2007. Stephen has been working so hard ... coordinating everything with the designers, contractors, dental supply company, subcontractors ... plus working as a full-time dentist! He deserves a vacation! We visited the new office recently and it looks amazing. It's set to open within the next two weeks - we are so excited!

Valentine's Day Cupcakes

Angela came over the night before Valentine's Day and we made a TON of cupcakes for our offices. We had so many ... and they were delicious!
