Family Love In Reno

We had a wonderful weekend with the Hansen/LeMay clan down in Reno last week.
Us girls did some cooking ...
... and we all did a lot of eating
I'm pretty sure my baby bump was a couple inches bigger by the time I left!
... we did some relaxing...
... and listened to talented Trevor playing his music...
I satisfied a serious cheeseburger craving...
... and we thoroughly enjoyed each other's company. We are so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful, loving, and warm family

An important part of our trip was getting to spend time with Grandma Clarice. She has been sick, but she was still in terrific spirits. Just to be around her is a blessing - her positive, upbeat attitude is contagious. We love her so much and were so happy to spend the weekend with her.

Here we are in her room sharing this blog with her. We showed her ultrasound pictures of the baby, and I read her a few entries from the blog.
And later that night, we all gathered around her bed and prayed with her. It was a very special, beautiful night.

Unfortunately, we only got to stay for a couple of days.
Here are some last minute pictures before we headed home. It was a very special weekend and we loved every minute.

And we're out!
Good-bye Reno...
...We'll be back in June for Grandma's 90th birthday!

Welcome Micah Kumakura!

We had the chance to meet precious little 6-day-old Micah this weekend ... he is such a sweetheart - he slept in my arms like a little angel and hardly made a single peep. Isn't he a beautiful baby! We are looking forward to play dates with our little one next year.
We had a great time visiting with Trevor, Megan, Robin, Tyler, and Maureen.
We always love spending time with the Kumakuras!

Lisa's Birthday Weekend

Lisa turned 24 last week and her devoted sissy Lori came into town especially for the occasion. It was a special treat for all of us to see Lori and celebrate Lisa :)
On Saturday we had lunch at Katie Downs with everyone...

After lunch we went for a walk along Ruston Way - it was such a beautiful day
All the girls ... we love it when we can all be together :)
Tyler and Lisa are such a cute couple - we love them!
A fun cheesy pic...
Mom and Dad couldn't resist the belly either - ha!
We thought these bikers with their ice cream cones were so funny

My Pregnancy - 18 Weeks

Mother's Day 2010

We had a nice lunch with our family for Mother's Day this year. Stephen was so sweet and got me a pre-Mother's Day gift - a spa gift certificate - It will definitely come in handy with all my pregnancy ailments! I sure am ready for a massage :)
I just can't believe by this time next year I will be a Mommy to a 7-month-old!

A Sunny Day at Point Defiance

Bump Shot
16 weeks and counting!

Happy Birthdays...

to my favorite peeps!

Readings with the Talented Miss Ashley

Now that Ashley's back in town we get to see her talent in action first hand. A couple of weeks ago, she put on a night of staged readings at the Stonegate in Tacoma. We met up with the Overbos and enjoyed good pizza and entertainment - it was a fun night.
Tyler, this one's for you!
I believe this is now your second appearance on my blog ;)
And the show begins...

A Night at the Races...

We attended Evergreen City Ballet's second annual auction with a group of our good friends on April 10, 2010. The auction was held at Emerald Downs on opening weekend and we had such a fun time getting dressed up, eating good food, and spending our money (at least it was for a good cause!) - Thanks, everyone, for coming out and supporting ECB!

Table #1
The theme was "Derby Hats" and everyone was encouraged to wear their fanciest ... in the contest for best hat, the old man in the middle won ... I think his personality might have had a little to do with it! My plain black hat didn't make it past the first round.
Angela wore a fun "hat" too, but she opted out of the contest.
Our table

Becca and Kim
Eric & Mickey
Me & Stephen
Our table definitely participated in the auction. We had so much fun doing our bidding. We won too! I got to raise my number to bid on an item for our whole table. I took my job VERY seriously, and in the end table #1 took home a weekend getaway in Vancouver for the whole group of us. We can't wait to go!
Number 127 - the big winner!
We had three pregnant girls at our table, so the "dessert run" was a BIG DEAL. We had to bid for our chance to pick a dessert. Although we thought we made some good bids, we ended up being the ninth table to pick our dessert :(
Despite our crappy number, we still ended up with one of our top picks ... this lemon cake. Lemon has definitely been a favorite of mine this pregnancy, so I was not disappointed.
Angela, 13 weeks ... Me, 14 weeks ... Mickey, 11 weeks
