Fun With Finger Foods

We started giving Laken finger foods (other than just puffs) about a month ago.  She's got the "pincher grasp down pretty well, and she LOVES to feed herself.  We've done cheese, fruits, vegetables, cheerios ... just about anything we can make small enough to not worry about choking.  Unfortunately, it's causing her to often refuse the spoon, but as long as she's happy, we're happy ;)

40th Wedding Anniversary

My parent's 40th Wedding Anniversary was May 22nd (yes, I'm a officially one month behind in my blogging) and we celebrated at Salish Lodge with breakfast and a walk along the falls.  

We had our own room for breakfast, so Laken was able to crawl around and explore.

I Haven't Forgotten...

Laken turned 8-months-old today!

We took her pictures today, but I just can't bring myself to go out of order, and I've still got a couple of posts to catch up with.

I would post a little teaser, but our hard drive is FULL so I can't even upload them to the computer.  A trip to Best Buy is in my immediate future, so Laken's 8 month pics will be up before you know it.  They are SUPER CUTE.

Lisa's Birthday

Well, folks, I am waaaaaay behind in my blogging. 

To put it into perspective for you, Lisa's birthday was on May 13th and it is now June 3rd. I have tons and tons and tons of pictures to share because the weather has been slowly getting better and life is good.   So that I don't remain permanently behind in my blogging, these next few posts will probably be heavy on the photos and lacking in text. Sorry.  I'm a mommy to a fully mobile almost-8-month-old, and it is the best job in the world ... BUT ... it does not leave me much time for blogging.

Sooooo ... without further adieu ... 

We went to Pt. Defiance Zoo on Lisa's birth-DAY.  We celebrated the whole weekend, but here are the pictures of the actual day when she went from 24 to 25.  OLD LADY! ;)

 I LOVED the bird exhibit.  I didn't know they were doing this, but we got to buy these little feeding sticks and the birds come right up on your hands - so cool! I had Laken in the Bjorn and I don't know which one of us had more fun with it! Here's Lisa's friend Jacky and her daughter, Madison.
