Christmas Day 2008

The Overbos came over Christmas Day to continue the celebrations.  We really missed Lisa - who is "working" on a cruise ship this Christmas (can we really call that work?) in the Carribean.  Still, we managed to get pretty silly ...

The cousins (minus Lisa)
Linda's new bike! Now my mom and her get to go riding around the neighborhood :)

Lori and me
Stephen always needs a nap ... he closed his eyes until Morgan woke him up :)
Still sleepy...

Getting ready to head out to Auntie Vickie and Gary's ... I forgot my camera, so pictures to come...

Christmas Morning...

Early Christmas day we headed over to my parents house for a cozy morning.

So many presents...

My parents' favorite presents - ha ha!

We got a navigation for our car - now I'll never be lost again :)
Morgan of course got in on the action too!

Christmas Eve 2008

Christmas Eve at the Hansens' this year was almost canceled due to the snow.  Thankfully most of us were able to be together, but we definitely missed the Christians!

Lukie read the Christmas story from the Bible...
Kathleen and David ... they still had to pack for their trip to Reno the next morning ... plane leaves at 8am - yikes!
Kathleen accompanied Luke in singing The Christmas Song - Luke is in the Wilson Show Choir and has a velvet voice - we're so lucky to have live music fill the house on Christmas.
Time for presents...
Kaitlin's very first ski jacket ... she's always worn Stephen's old yellow one - that jacket got a ton of use, but I'm sure it won't be completely retired...

Still Snowing...

We had more snow this year than we've had in years ... since my first post about the snow, we've had so much more, the first pictures just don't do it justice.

I love this picture of our house at night completely blanketed in snow.
Pictures around our property...

Even Baby Kitty likes the snow

Babysitting Beans

Stephen and I got in a little "practice" today babysitting sweet Ella.  She turned five months today - I can't believe how fast time has flown by! It feels like just yesterday that Angela told me she was pregnant :)  Ella is such a happy baby, and we had a blast playing with her.  It was especially fun for me to watch Stephen with her...

So photogenic!

All Snowed In...

This has not been a typical week for a Washington December.  I was snowed in for four of the five work days, and today started to get a little stir-crazy.  I think this week actually turned me into a crazy cat lady ... all the time alone at home gave me a chance to bond with the "kids" - When you realize you've been talking more to the animals than to the people in your life, you start to think you have problems.

Seriously though, it's been amazing.  There is nothing quite like having a white Christmas - the snow this week was so beautiful, and staying cozy inside by the fire while the snow comes down is pure bliss.  It looked like the angels were having a pillow fight in heaven, and was one of those weeks you are reminded how amazing God's creation really is.  Stephen and I took a little walk in a white winter wonderland this afternoon....
